Kaikaro is the largest tea house in the Higashi Chaya district, and it is still operated as a Geisha teahouse in the night. As a tradition, they do not take any new customers unless they are introduced by the regular customers as a Geisha teahouse. However, the place is open for tourists during the day. Visitor fee is ¥750/person.Also they host special Geisha teahouse events once in 3-4 months which is open to anyone (reservation required, cost around ¥25,000 with dinner) .
