Shima Teahouse in Higashichaya district

This is the another Geisha Teahouse, Shima, which we visited in Higashichaya district in Kanazawa. Shima is built in 1820, and it remains as the original, without rebuilding. It is the only Teahouse which is designated as important cultural asset by the Japanese government.

Visitor fee is ¥500/person.
