This wall design is inspired by the history and technique of Kaga Yuzen Kimono textile, which is a local Kimono textile style of Kanazawa.

This Showa retro-looking design was cute, but if the Kaga Yuzen design is great, I wonder why they didn’t let the artisan of Kaga Yuzen textile designed this wall….
It could have been interesting if the real Kimono textile design were covering this wall.

Or the intention of this “art” was to make people think what is the difference between design and artwork….?
