Food of Kanazawa

Sushi is definitely the must-eat cuisine of Kanazawa.

This was Hokuriku Mankitsu Lunch set from Kanazawa Maimon Sushi restaurant which is located dinning area behind the souvenir shops in the Kanazawa station.

This set has all the famous seafoods of Kanazawa area including Nodoguro fish. The price was pretty reasonable, ¥1,780- and taste was good too.
Originally we were planning to go to 2 other fancier sushi places. Unfortunately, one place we tried for dinner was closed by the time we get there(around 20:00 or 20:30) and the another one we tried for lunch was fully booked. So, I really recommend you to make reservation if you want to go to fancier or family owned kind of small Sushi place. Though this sushi was pretty good, we really regret that we didn’t make reservations for other places because Sushi was the very reason I decided to go to Kanazawa…
