Photolog: Uchina Chaya BukuBuku-4

The cup on the left is the BukuBuku-cha.

BukuBuku-cha literally means bubbly tea, and it has a cappuccino-like foam on the top of tea. The foam is made with rice water which is made by boiling roasted rice.

Traditionally, Jasmine tea was used for the BukuBuku-cha, but this cafe had more choices, and I ordered a cup with iced coffee because I desperately needed a coffee break after walking around the town.

The bowl on the right is the Okinawan style sweet red beans soup, and the small plate on the top is Okinawan style cookie called Chinsuko.
