《Weekends DC 2016》Jul 30, Baby Shopping and Ramen Driving
We went out for our first baby shopping to Babies R Us.
I have been checking baby goods online, but it is hard to find which products best suit for our life style. So we decided to go to Babies R Us to see the actual products.
As we live close to the metro station, we do not own a car.
Whenever we go to places that are not easy to access by metro, we use enterprise car share.
So we took the enterprise car and went out for shopping and more.
Before going to Babies R Us, we stopped by at Jinya Ramen Bar at Mosaic District in Fairfax for lunch.
Since I heard they have come to this area, I have been wanted to try their Ramen. I was pretty sure their ramen is good because they were popular in LA, where Japanese population is higher.
We sat at the counter table.
This counter table style, and event the condiments on the table looked so authentic.
First we had Gyoza(pot sticker) dumplings.
Then, RAMEN that I have been craving for!
They have both chicken and pork broth, but their speciality is pork, so better try the pork broth ramen if you go to Jinya.
This one I had is called Cha Cha Cha, and it has stronger pork broth than others.
It was so good. Just like the type of Japanese ramen I love.
I found DOLCEZZA right across the street, so we had gelato here after ramen.
We had Peppermint Stracciatella and Georgia Butter Pecan.
It was so sunny day and as we step out side the gelato started melt so quick!
But it tasted so good to eat cold gelato under the hot sun, and after a hot bowl of Ramen.
Then to the Babies R Us, our main mission of the day to check out the baby goods for our little human.
Deciding the stroller was really hard. There were so many varieties and so many things to consider.
The size, weight, if it is easy to fold, compactness when folded, how big the basket underneath….I think we spent like 1 hour or more just to try out all the types of strollers.
Though the shopping was exhausting, I’m happy that now we know what to get for our lovely little human.
We are getting ready to see you little by little!
On the way home I was too tired and thirsty so we stopped at Starbucks and tried not the pink drink but this purple drink, the newest hidden drink of the Starbucks. It looks like Ube, purple yum, drink but no. It is passion Iced tea with soy milk and blackberries.
That was my last Saturday of July.
